Everyone needs their time away from reality. However, time away from reality with your significant other is ten times more fun! If you are thinking about taking a romantic getaway, here are some places that I suggest:

More Local:

The Norwich Inn

Nothing says romance like a trip to the spa with your significant other. If spas are your thing, I definitely suggest taking a trip to the Norwich Inn in Norwich, Connecticut. From facials, to waxing, to body wraps, to massages. This spa has it all! There is a fitness center, tennis courts, a hiking trail, a hair and beauty salon, a pool with fountains, and so much more! If your significant other isn’t in to the spa ordeal, convince them by telling them all of the other wonderful amenities this inn has, like the top rated Kensington restaurant!

In the United States:

Napa Valley

Napa Valley, California is a wine lover’s dream come true. There are more vineyards than you can even imagine (with more wine than you could ever consume)! I suggest taking a trip to Schramsberg Vineyards. Visitors love the winery tour, the historic caves, and their special sparkling wine!

Once you are done with your wine tours, you will have no problem finding the perfect restaurant to pair with your wine. You will spend a little extra money, as Napa Valley offers a lot of fine dining. La Toque is a very popular restaurant there, so I suggest you check it out! Of course, if you decide to take this trip, make sure you are over 21!

Charleston, South Carolina

Another amazing place to visit is Charleston, South Carolina. This getaway would be for those couples who enjoy the history of cities and culture such as museums. They would also need to be foodies! There are many food events in Charleston, such as the Charleston Wine + Food Festival or Charleston Restaurant Week. However, if you can’t make to these events, don’t fret! Many restaurants, including Husk and Magnolia’s, have received high praise for their southern menu and outstanding service. If you are into museums, the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Confederate Museum should definitely be put on your list to check out!

In another country:

Paris, France

Yes, the city of love. Of course, you will need to visit the Eiffel Tower! It wouldn’t be a trip to Paris without it. You also have to visit the Musee du Louvre, which holds thousands of pieces of art. It is definitely something to cross off of your bucket list. There are many French foods to taste, such as escargot and macarons! Of course, you will need to bring a lock and key to the Pont Alexandre III bridge. People attach their lock to the bridge and throw the key in the Seine River as an expression of everlasting love. This is definitely a romantic trip to take with your significant other!

Now go out and book that trip! You know you want to.

XOXO,

Have Some Wanderlust
